FAQs

A Project Management Consultant represents the client’s interests throughout project delivery, coordinating the consultants, contractors, suppliers and other stakeholders involved. The role typically covers programme management, design coordination, procurement, construction management, quality, risk, reporting and handover, with the scope tailored to the requirements of each project.

A PMC should ideally be appointed during the early planning or pre-construction stage. Early involvement allows the project manager to establish the delivery programme, coordinate design, develop the procurement strategy, identify project risks and plan construction before major commitments are made. Ascentis can also join projects already in design or construction where additional project leadership is required.

Yes. Ascentis provides Project Management Consultancy services across India, supported by teams in Gurugram, Mumbai and Bengaluru. Over the past 20 years, we have managed complex developments across major Indian cities and destinations, with experience spanning hospitality, commercial, residential, retail and mixed-use projects. We have also managed projects in nine other countries including Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Tanzania.

Project management fees typically range from 3% to 5% of project CAPEX, although the actual fee will depend on the scope and complexity of the project, the duration of the appointment, and the seniority and expertise of the project management team required.

More complex developments, specialist asset types and projects requiring greater senior-level involvement may require a higher level of project management resources. The appropriate fee should therefore be assessed against the scope of services and the level of expertise needed to manage the project effectively.
