Corporate sustainability

Our engagements

What we pledge to do

We believe sustainability should be managed with the same discipline as budget and schedule. That means clear targets, measurable actions, and accountability at both the corporate and project level. We are embedding sustainability into the core of our operations to drive innovation, operational excellence, and long-term value for our clients, our people, and our business.

Environmental

Greenhouse gas reduction

  • Reduce emissions from in-house activities, including restricting airline travel to only the essentials
  • Reduce embodied carbon on projects through design and material efficiency
  • Improve operational carbon outcomes by supporting energy-efficient systems and operational performance planning

Sustainable procurement

  • Prioritise local sourcing where feasible to reduce transport impacts and strengthen local value chains
  • Support responsible sourcing, including sustainable forests and lower-impact materials
  • Promote shorter supply circuits where quality and programme allow

Water resource protection

  • Improve water efficiency during construction through planning, monitoring, and good site practice
  • Support effiecient operations through  water-efficient fixtures, greywater reuse, and wastewater treatment

Biodiversity protection (where applicable)

  • Identify biodiversity risks and opportunities early, especially on sensitive sites
  • Encourage protection and restoration measures where they are practical and meaningful

Solid waste management in construction

  • Reduce packaging waste where possible through procurement choices and site controls
  • Improve segregation and disposal practices to reduce landfill impact

Social Labour welfare and communities

Promote fair, safe, and respectful working conditions across project sites

  • Promote fair, safe, and respectful working conditions across project sites
  • Encourage good practice in worker accommodation, safety, and basic welfare standards
  • Engage contractors on minimum expectations and compliance

Governance

Responsible and fair procurement practices

  • Promote ethical, transparent procurement across contractors and suppliers
  • Encourage fair evaluation and contracting practices
  • Strengthen accountability through documentation, traceability, and reporting

Our Corporate Sustainability Programme

We are aligning our approach with globally recognised frameworks so our targets and reporting remain credible and comparable.

1
Phase 1

Mastering our carbon footprint

  • Carbon accounting using the GHG Protocol
  • Set near-term reduction targets and establish a baseline
  • Develop a strategic reduction pathway toward Net Zero alignment
  • Goal 1: We will develop a strategic reduction pathway and have our near-term science-based emission reduction targets officially validated by SBTi.
2
Phase 2

Expanding beyond carbon to ESG

  • Broader ESG reporting, including waste, water, labour practices, and governance
  • Formalise policies, controls, and internal reporting rhythms
  • Goal 2: Our first Sustainability Report
We will publish our inaugural sustainability report aligned with GRI standards, detailing performance across key environmental, social, and governance topics.

How this impacts projects

1
Phase 1

Carbon budgets at project level

Every new project are assigned a carbon budget for embodied carbon, alongside its financial budget.

2
Phase 2

Project performance tracking

We develop an internal rating system to score projects against their carbon budget and other sustainability metrics.

What does this mean for clients ?

  • Clear sustainability goals that support long-term asset performance
  • Practical guidance during planning and design, where the biggest outcomes are decided
  • Better-informed trade-offs that consider durability, operations, and lifecycle value
  • Trackable metrics that can support brand requirements and stakeholder reporting
